Levacide is a broad spectrum wormer for use in cattle and sheep. It is available as a drench, a pour-on, or as an injection. The active ingredient is levamisole which is one of the major anthelmintics, with good activity against the main worms found in farm animals. The major worm species covered include Lungworms (Dictyocaulus spp.) and Gastrointestinal worms (Trichostrongylus spp; Cooperia spp; Ostertagia spp (except inhibited Ostertagia larvae in cattle); Haemonchus spp; Nematodirus spp; Bunostomum spp; Oesophagostomum spp; and Chabertia spp.) PLEASE NOTE: When dosing young animals, it is extremely important to accurately weigh each individual and calculate the correct dose for them to avoid overdosing.
